FLORENCE HOMECOMING
Date: 23rd September
Location: Port Solent Marina, Portsmouth Harbour
The Plan for the day:
1000:
- Florence will start at Prince Consort cardinal in the Solent and sail to Portsmouth Harbour
- All are welcome to sail along with us/escort us in their own boats if they wish
- Please book your own berths if wishing to join us at Port Solent
1230:
- Passing through Portsmouth Harbour entrance en-route to Port Solent Marina
1330:
- Arrival at the lock in Port Solent Marina.
1330 – 1500:
- Public space for all to see Florence arrive, pass though the lock and celebrate arriving
1500- 1700:
- Matt and Amy move to the reserved bar to meet Friends, Family, and Patrons

From one couple who have circumnavigated to another.., Congratulations, well done. You have joined a group of people who have memories from far away places that most people can only dream of. Its has been 12 years since we commpleted our lap and the memories are still vivid in our minds.

Hi Mat and Amey, really exciting you are so close” in the scheme of things ” to the uk Will defo be at Port Solent to see you come in and maybe hopefully say hello to you both, what an adventure we have followed your postings and seen most of your videos. Its a long time ago I was laid up next to Florence in Trafalgar wharf when you were refitting windows etc and preparing for you adventure. My present boat Allegria ( Moody 336) is based in Port Solent as was the boat I had when next to Florence in Trafalgar wharf Strider11 ( Beneteau first 38 )

Wow, how special that will be! I have been following you, from Argentina, since you went thru’ the Panamá Canal on yr way to the Pacific Ocean crossing! Have enjoyed yr videos so much! Very happy landings in the UK. And I hope you can keep us informed a bit while you’re on land in UK.
