So finally our crazy idea is public, the time has come for Amy to hand in her resignation. It is a relief to now be able to tell people what we are really up to and it seems the that the common theme is for people to say we are ‘brave‘. Reading between the lines I think perhaps we can read deeper meanings into this such as ‘you’re nuts’.
It certainly feels crazy at times and we are oscillating between being incredibly excited and incredibly scared with a period of about 4 days.
We are cracking on with getting Florence ready. Matt has built new battery boxes to take the increased capacity battery bank whilst Amy single handedly prepared the hull for anti-fouling. The bank holiday weekends coming up are being looked at as an opportunity to get more work done on Florence rather than a ‘holiday’, but we should get our fill of holidays to make up for it soon!
